02 — Built for the buying decision

One report, three moments.

Before the viewing

Check the postcode before you book a viewing. See whether the schools are catchment-realistic, whether the street is on the police map, and whether the nearest GP has a list open.

No more turning up to a viewing without knowing the area.
Between two areas

Stuck between two neighbourhoods? Pull up an area report for each, then jump to the Compare tool to put them side by side on the same factors.

A decision built on the same data on both sides.
Before the offer

Flood risk, air quality, broadband speed and average sold prices — everything you would otherwise gather from five different government sites, on one page.

The due-diligence checks the estate agent would rather you skipped.
03 — Provenance

Every figure on a NestScope area report comes from official UK government and public data. No estimates, no crowdsourcing.

04 — Questions

Common questions.

What is in a NestScope area report?

Each area report combines the schools (with Ofsted ratings and GCSE results), monthly crime rate, NHS GP surgeries and hospitals, train/tube/bus stops, parks and green spaces, supermarkets, flood risk, air quality, broadband speeds and recent sold prices for any UK postcode — drawn from official government data and shown on one page.

Is the area report free, and do I need to sign up?

Yes — every area report on NestScope UK is completely free and there is no paywall. You do not need to sign up. An optional Google sign-in only adds extras like saving the postcodes you are tracking.

How do I tell if this is a good area to live?

Open an area report and look at the NestScope Score (0–100) together with the six dimension dots — Schools, Safety, Healthcare, Transport, Green Space and Amenities. Each dot is anchored to official data: Ofsted and GCSE results, the UK Police crime feed, NHS records, NaPTAN transport stops and more. The Score is a fast screening tool, not a verdict on a specific house.

Where does the data come from?

Schools and Ofsted from the Department for Education, crime from the UK Police API, healthcare from NHS ODS, transport from NaPTAN, green space from Ordnance Survey, flood risk from the Environment Agency, deprivation backbone from the English Indices of Deprivation 2019, broadband from Ofcom and sold prices from HM Land Registry. All official UK open-data sources.

Does NestScope cover Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland?

You can search any UK postcode. England has full coverage on every layer. In Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland some layers (such as transport, green space, supermarkets, broadband and air quality) are populated, but layers that depend on England-only sources (Ofsted, NHS England, Environment Agency flood, IMD) are limited. See the methodology page for the full nation-by-nation breakdown.
